It’s fascinating to see frequent new covid-led discoveries being reported. It’s great to know humanity is gradually pinning down the fine details behind the virus that has changed the world forever. At the same time it’s disturbing that there’s still such a lot we don’t know. It makes a lot of sense to take every possible precaution to avoid catching covid. Our covid disinfection robots kill covid. If you’d like to keep your people and customers safe, let’s talk about our covid-killer technology.
Covid vaccine discovery – good news
It’s great news. The Pfizer vaccine is up to 94% effective over 6 months in people who’ve also had the virus. Which means people who’ve had the virus before having their two jabs enjoy better levels of immunity against the virus than people who have never caught it in the first place.
Thanks to the Zoe Covid Symptom Study App, scientists now know that people who had two Pfizer/BioNTech jabs after a covid infection are at 94% less risk of getting the virus again within 6 months of dose two. If you haven’t had covid your rate is 80%. The AstraZeneca jab reveals much the same effect, giving 90%protection for recovered people compared to 71% in those who never caught the virus.
The numbers also show having the virus but not having jabs gives you just 65% protection against getting infected for as long as 450 days after catching the virus. The overall conclusion? “Large numbers of people will have effective and long lasting protection from covid-19,” according to Tim Spector at King’s College London. The results make an exceptionally strong case for vaccination whether you’ve had the virus or not.
People still suffer from long covid a year after infection
You might have a mild dose of covid, but the effects can stay with you for at least a year. And that alone is a very good reason for avoiding catching it in the first place, and another reason why our covid killer robots are such a good idea. After all, who wants to feel poorly for months on end?
It looks like over 400,000 Brits are still suffering long covid symptoms ‘a year or more’ after being infected, according to the ONS. The most common left-over symptoms are fatigue, shortness of breath, loss of your sense of taste and smell, and problems concentrating. At the same time about 1.1 million of us have self-reported covid symptoms lasting more than four weeks.
What is covid toe?
One of the many bizarre effects of covid is ‘covid toe’. What is covid toe? Now we know. It looks like the condition could be an immune system side effect, something that happens when your system fights the virus. Red swellings, which are a lot like chilblains, appear on the hands and feet and can last for months, leaving them swollen and oddly-coloured. It is much rarer after vaccination, a lot more common in people who haven’t been vaccinated.
Flu and covid vaccines are safe given at the same time
Given the news that catching flu and covid at the same time can be deadly, it’s good to know that it’s safe to have both jabs at the same time, in different arms. The side effects seen in a clinical trial were mostly ‘mild to moderate’, with no immune system problems to either vaccine when given at the same time. The results also confirms the UK’s current coronavirus booster guidance in the UK, which says both jabs can be given together.
Our covid killer robots also kill flu
Flu is a virus. The common cold is a virus. So are Ebola, SARS, and MERS. Did you know our covid killer robots not only kill covid, they also kill the flu virus, Ebola, SARS, MERS, all four common cold viruses, plus a collection of extremely nasty hospital acquired infections? Did you know machines like ours have been used for decades in healthcare settings? Protect your business, your employees and your customers with one of our covid killing robot machines. They’re reliable, fast, safe and highly effective.
