Will covid surge in the USA?

If you need treatment, for example the anti-viral drug Paxlovid, you’ll have to pay for it. And if you’re not insured you’ll need to pay for vaccinations, which in the case of Pfizer and Moderna will cost $120 instead of $30.
At the same time, Long Covid is having a dramatic impact on the US workforce as ‘substantial numbers’ of people can’t go back to work and others need ongoing medical care. The Federal Reserve has been blaming a dwindling supply of workers for high inflation levels and says covid-related deaths are responsible for much of the US’s labour shortage.
