New year, of course, is a human construct. There's no logical reason why 1st January should be any different from 31st December. But this time around the entire human race is dearly hoping 2021 will be a better year than the last one. 2020 saw the novel coronavirus change our lives, then change our world. So what does 2021 hold, and how are the nation's long-suffering businesses going to weather the coming months?
Experts predict we could easily have another full year of restrictions
2021 is going to be absolutely crucial in the battle against Covid-19. Some experts are even saying we could see restrictions for at least another year, maybe into spring 2022.
Yes, we have vaccines. And that is incredibly good news, thanks to months of dedication, innovation and hard work by talented scientists around the globe. But the roll-out of the various vaccines isn't going to end any time soon. It has barely begun. It's going to be a long and complex job, the human race's greatest ever international logistics challenge where every one of us plays a part. Vaccinating the UK alone is a huge task.
There are no massive stockpiles of vaccine to tap into, which means different countries will get their supplies at different times. Sadly, in some cases, the speed of vaccine deployment will depend on how much money and influence that country has in the great economic scheme of things, and on how many doses of vaccine they were able to pay for or pre-order up front.
Vaccinating the world is easier said than done
We have different levels of vaccine reluctance to deal with in various countries, potentially worst of all in the USA, but unless we vaccinate a large proportion of the entire world's population, the virus will never be completely beaten. It'll keep on popping up like flu, killing pockets of vulnerable people as it goes. In the meantime, in the worst case scenario, enough people could catch Covid for the virus to really get cracking making new variants, giving it the chance to transform into something a lot more deadly.
What do you do, in the meantime, to provide a level of certainty to your business and your customers, and continue to weather a storm we can't see an end to yet? There's no better way, so far, than UVC LED technology that kills the virus. That's what UVC light at a specific wavelength does. It very quickly messes with the virus' DNA and RNA so it can't reproduce. Job done.
Are US-style class action lawsuits on the way?
It happened to asbestos and tobacco. Is it possible we'll see US-style class action lawsuits against businesses that put people at unnecessary risk through the Covid crisis? Or were just horribly unlucky and ended up creating an outbreak? We have Group Litigation Orders in the UK - it could happen. The same goes for civil and criminal cases brought by individuals and families. If using our tech saves just one customer from being ill, it has done its job!
UVC LED anti virus tech kills Covid fast – guaranteed
UVC light has long been used in healthcare settings to kill a wide range of horrible diseases including deadly hospital acquired infections like MRSA plus coronaviruses like Ebola, SARS and MERS. Now thousands of businesses across the world are using the same tech to keep their businesses open, against the odds, through Covid times.
Disinfect a theatre, dental surgery, restaurant, bar, spa, school, office...
Our lights are portable, safe, and easy to use. They let you disinfect a dental surgery in just a few minutes, an entire cinema or classroom in a remarkably short time. As a dentist, for example, it dramatically cuts back the fallow time you'd otherwise need to leave between patients while your staff or cleaners disinfect the room by hand. As a theatre, cinema, restaurant or school you can see how being able to disinfect fast between performances, showings, sittings and classes would help you get back to normal as well as keep people safe.
Even if you have a team of cleaners it'd be impossible to clean a space in the same short time the old fashioned way with cleaning products and cloths. How much difference would getting that vital time back that make to your bottom line, to customer satisfaction, to your business's future?
Trusted by the NHS
Just in case you need extra reassurance, NHS England trusts our UVC disinfection tech. They've invited Cool-Tech UVC to their exciting 'invitation only' event in April 2021, designed to bring the nation's best-respected infection prevention and control professionals together with a Covid focus.
It's called Infection Prevention and Control 2021.
